Diverticulosis
Having small pouches in the colon wall — common and usually harmless.
Diverticulosis means having small pouches (diverticula) bulging from the colon wall — very common with age and usually symptomless. It becomes diverticulitis only when a pouch inflames or infects. A high-fibre diet helps prevent that progression.
