Inositol

A sugar-like compound studied as a supplement for insulin sensitivity and PCOS.

Inositol (often myo-inositol) is a naturally occurring, sugar-like compound involved in how cells respond to insulin. It's among the more studied supplements for PCOS and insulin resistance, where emerging evidence suggests it may improve insulin sensitivity and, for some, cycle regularity — though results vary and it is not a guaranteed fix. Discuss it with your clinician, especially in pregnancy or preconception.
