Prebiotics
Fibres that feed your beneficial gut bacteria (as opposed to probiotics, which are the bacteria).
Prebiotics are types of fibre your body can't digest but your beneficial gut bacteria ferment and thrive on — found in onions, garlic, leeks, oats, legumes and slightly-green bananas. Prebiotics are the food; probiotics are the microbes. Feeding the microbes you already have is often more impactful than simply adding more.
