Insoluble fibre
Fibre that doesn't dissolve — it adds bulk and keeps you regular.
Insoluble fibre doesn't dissolve in water; it adds bulk to stool and speeds food through the gut, which helps prevent constipation. Found in whole grains, wheat bran, nuts, seeds and the skins of fruit and veg. (Its partner, soluble fibre, forms a gel and steadies blood sugar and cholesterol.)
